Britney Spears to serve jail time?
Britney Spears was spotted bursting into tears as she entered the L.A. building housing the offices of her attorney, Sorrell Trope, US reports. She has been charged with hit-and-run causing property damage and driving without a valid license, the Los Angeles City Attorney said Friday.
The charges stem from a hit and run in a store parking lot on Aug. 6. Spears, 25, made a wide, right turn into a parking space and scraped another car’s bumper. She drove off without even leaving a note even though the whole event was caught on film by paparazzi! She was also charged with driving without a valid California license! Apparently Britney has NEVER been issued a California license.
Each charge can carry a maximum penalty of 6 MONTHS IN PRISON! Meaning a possible total of a year in jail for Britney! It is pretty unlikely however that she will serve jail time.
